A record year of firsts for UNSW Sydney
UNSW’s 2019 Annual Report is now available on the UNSW website.
2019 was a significant year for UNSW. We celebrated our 70th birthday, received our highest global university ranking in history, set construction completion records, welcomed the Light Rail to our front door and reviewed and renewed our 10-year 2025 Strategy.
UNSW switched to a three-term academic calendar and saw the first full year of the inaugural UNSW Indigenous Strategy that underpins our commitment to truth and reconciliation.
In their foreword, Chancellor Mr David Gonski and President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Ian Jacobs thanked UNSW’s academics, students and staff for their achievements and touched on the devastating bushfires that brought the issue of climate change to the fore.
