Recognise a colleague or team who makes a positive impact.
The Vice-Chancellor’s Awards celebrate not only what people do but how they go about doing it by actively demonstrating the Values in Action: Our UNSW Behaviours:
- Embraces Diversity
- Displays Respect
- Builds Collaboration
- Demonstrates Excellence
- Drives Innovation.
First launched in 2017, the program offers leaders and staff an opportunity to acknowledge and applaud individuals and teams who light up UNSW with their amazing contributions.
In 2023, we received an overwhelming 476 nominations, and the event was attended by more than 350 guests – a testament to the impact and significance of the awards for our staff members. By recognising these people, we facilitate the stories that reinforce our Values in Action and further shape our culture.
Nominations open on Monday 8 April
Please start thinking about who you would like to recognise and celebrate.
To nominate a colleague or team, visit the Vice-Chancellor’s Awards site from Monday 8 April, and submit a description of your nominee’s contribution to UNSW and how they actively demonstrate our UNSW Values in Action.
Nominations close on Sunday 5 May
All nominees will be showcased on the Vice-Chancellor’s Awards app where you can read about their unique contributions. As we have done for the past few years, nominees will go into the running for a People’s Choice Award, with the most popular nominee voted by UNSW staff. Voting for the People’s Choice Award will open soon after the nomination period has closed.
The Vice-Chancellor’s Awards event will be held on Wednesday 19 June, an occasion to celebrate the contributions of all nominees and announce the awardees for each Values in Action category as well as the People’s Choice Award. All awardees receive a contribution to their professional development of $5000 per award category.
