Destination GO

The nine-week virtual race around the globe kicks off with a launch event in May

UNSW Wellbeing has partnered with Personify Health to offer UNSW staff the GO health and wellbeing platform, which features the Destination GO activity challenge.

GO is a digital health coach, a social connection to your colleagues and an activity challenge all in one. It is designed to help you take small steps towards improving your health, through friendly competition and personalised tracking of your health habits and goals.

GO offers:

  • daily tips to fit wellbeing into your schedule
  • healthy habits so you can stay on track with your wellbeing goals
  • UNSW-wide team-based activity challenge, Destination GO
  • personal, guided journeys that let you choose how you want to get healthier
  • free confidential Pulse Check health assessment to see how far you’ve come.

What is Destination Go?

Destination GO is the competitive activity challenge within the GO platform. It’s a team-based virtual race around the world, open to all staff.

Staff can choose to form their own team or join an existing team of two to seven people. The more activity you do, the further your team goes together.

The nine-week challenge runs from Wednesday 21 May to Wednesday 23 July.

You’re invited to the launch event

Come along to the Destination GO launch event in front of the Chancellery Building on Wednesday 21 May, 11am-1pm.

There will be smoothie bikes, massages, freebies and giveaways – and if you can show us on your phone that you have joined a Destination GO team, you will go into the draw to win a $200 gift card. We also have a few T-shirts to give away – come early and try your luck!

How do you sign up?

  1. Sign up using your UNSW email address and follow the steps to register. Then check your inbox for your activation email. The registration process is best done on your workstation or laptop.
  2. Once your registration is complete, you can download the Virgin Pulse app from the App store or Google Play store.
  3. Follow the step-by-step process to join or create a team of up to seven people in Destination GO, then connect your activity tracker.

GO is funded by UNSW Wellbeing. It’s free for staff to join, but spaces are limited. Last year we had a waitlist of 120 people – get in quickly this year and don’t miss out!
