Diversity Champions are looking for students and staff to contribute their time and skills to help the University achieve its diversity and inclusion goals.
Following the recent appointment of UNSW’s 2019-2020 Diversity Champions, the Division of Equity Diversity and Inclusion seeks to expand the membership of the diversity working groups.
The diversity working groups represent both student and staff perspectives by actively supporting the Diversity Champions to progress UNSW’s diversity and inclusion goals. Members of these working groups are expected to attend quarterly meetings and may be asked to contribute their time and skills to various initiatives from time to time.
There are five diversity working groups:
- Gender (Champion (job share): Adrienne Torda and Janelle Wheat)
- Flexible Working and Leave Options (Champion: Patrick Armstrong)
- Cultural Diversity (Champion: Arifa Sarfraz)
- LGBTIQ (Champion: Bridget Haire)
- Disability (Champion: Kristoffer Greaves)
If you wish to become a member of any of the above working groups, please email the Division of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion by Monday 11 February and indicate the working group you would like to join. Staff may wish to discuss their involvement with their supervisor before signing up.
