Updates to the 2020 academic promotion process

Application details have been updated for 2020 promotions to professor, associate professor and lecturer.

Academics interested in applying for promotion during the upcoming round can find all resources and information, including timelines, on the HR Hub.

Promotions to professor

Applications can be submitted online to the appropriate contact person in your dean’s unit by Monday 20 July.  

An interview skills workshop will be held on Friday 21 August via Teams.

Promotion to associate professor

Faculty promotions committee meetings (applicant interviews) scheduled for July will be conducted via Teams or Zoom, unless circumstances change.

Promotions to lecturer

The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, has emailed all deans, heads of schools and directors of research centres to announce that the 2020 round is now open for applications.

Applicants can submit their online applications by Monday 24 August.
