We welcomed about 35,000 people at our Kensington and Paddington campuses to learn about our vibrant UNSW communities and world-class facilities.
This year’s Open Day was a huge success! With an estimated 35,000 people attending, the Paddington and Kensington campuses came alive and were buzzing with activities showcasing all that UNSW has to offer prospective students.
Our Future Students Office reported that over 15,100 people registered to attend Open Day (15% higher than 2017), 1,050 surveys were completed on the day by attendees and 5,000 new subscriptions to our fortnightly Future Students newsletter were generated. The Advisory Centre was busy non-stop throughout the day as attendees received answers to all their degree related questions. All our staff and volunteers worked together to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere throughout the day and the University has clearly put its best foot forward.
“Open Day is always the best day in the student recruitment calendar, and it’s only possible and successful because of our outstanding academics, staff and current students, as well as hundreds of volunteers“, says Director, Future Students and Marketing, Jonathon Straus.
And UNSW Open Day was so popular, we also managed to trend at number 1 on Twitter the next morning!
