UNSW’s Open Day will be held from 9am–4pm on Saturday 7 September, with more than 40,000 attendees expected.
Open Day is consistently UNSW’s largest event of the year. The day provides an opportunity to welcome curious minds on campus, from high school students and their parents/caregivers, to postgraduate students, alumni and the community.
“Open Day provides an important opportunity to welcome prospective students and their families on campus. It provides them with firsthand experience of UNSW as we showcase why we are a global top 20 university that is consistently ranked #1 in Australia for graduate employment outcomes,” says Sofia Lloyd-Jones, Executive Director, Marketing & Digital Experience.
“Together, we can highlight the best of UNSW, our vibrant student experience, our degrees and, most importantly, connect future students with our inspiring staff and current students, which is key to bringing our community to life. We really appreciate the effort across the entire University that goes into making Open Day such a dynamic and engaging experience for all.”
This year’s Open Day theme, Celebrating 75 years of Progress for All, brings UNSW’s new ‘Progress for All’ brand campaign to life for a Gen-Z audience while commemorating UNSW’s 75-year anniversary. This theme runs throughout the Open Day promotional campaign, which is live across key digital channels, and will be brought to life on the day through an artificial intelligence (AI) event activation, a keynote lecture, and our breadth of faculty activities and talks.
“Through our AI activation we hope to inspire students to take action in shaping a better future for all across areas including healthcare, technology and advancing equal opportunities,” says Ms Lloyd-Jones.
With the release of Gateway Admission Pathway (GAP) and Portfolio Entry early offers in the days leading up to Open Day, this year’s event will also be a key opportunity to engage and inspire students applying through these pathways, critical in driving greater equity and access to studying at UNSW.
“Thank you in advance to all the staff who bring their expertise, passion and time to Open Day every year. The tailored advice provided across the central and faculty advisory zones, our 125+ lectures, the behind-the-scenes tours and activities, and of course the immersive student life experiences on the day, play such a key role in inspiring students to make UNSW their preferred university of choice,” says Ms Lloyd-Jones.
