Anti-racism @ UNSW
Delivered in partnership with Kind Enterprises, this session will build cross-cultural capability, racial literacy and racial equity competencies for UNSW staff.
The program has been designed to instil advanced cultural awareness and foster cultural sensitivity and racial literacy in staff, to enable confident and competent discussions around themes of culture, race, bias and cohesion.

Auslan workshop with Signpedia
Discover the world of Auslan in this fun and engaging workshop at the Roundhouse. This session will provide you with a fantastic opportunity to learn from a Deaf person, with the support of an Auslan interpreter.
In this workshop, you will:
- be introduced to what Auslan (Australian Sign Language) is and how to use it respectfully
- learn some Auslan basics, including greetings, the alphabet, numbers, common questions and conversational signs
- gain valuable insights and practical skills that will help you communicate more effectively and inclusively with Deaf individuals. Whether you're a beginner or just looking to refresh your skills, this workshop is designed to be both informative and enjoyable.

Ally Network Lunch & Learn, Thursday 26 September, 12.00–1.00pm (hybrid)
Lunch & Learns provide a chance to continue to build knowledge around the experiences of trans and gender diverse people, support systems and trans joy. This Lunch & Learn focuses on Neurodiverse and Neurodivergent LGBTQIA+ experiences. This includes exploring what Neurodiversity and Neurodivergence mean, what initiatives UNSW has in place to support staff and students, and hearing from a lived experience panel featuring UNSW students and staff.

Complete this anonymous, 5 to 10 minute survey to help us get a clearer picture of inclusion at UNSW and guide future EDI initiatives and projects. Learn more about the Diversity Council Australia survey on the EDI website, and take the survey. - Inclusive Teaching Guide:
This new guide gives academic staff a practical tool to support them in the design of inclusive curriculum, assessments, and teaching and learning approaches in the classroom. The free, open-source guide contains practical strategies to support students from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds at university. Access the guide. - Hidden Disabilities Sunflower initiative:
Complete a short module designed to raise awareness of disability inclusion and create a more inclusive and supportive environment for people with non-visible disabilities in our community. Learn more and access the Moodle course.
