HR systems and processes upgrade: myUNSW, UniHire and Position Management

Human Resources is making a significant investment in a range of enhancements to provide improved service to all staff at UNSW from 7 May.

myUNSW upgrade 

The My Staff ProfileManage My Profile and Manage My Team pages within myUNSW will be upgraded with a new mobile-friendly, tile-based design. You will be able to access all the same information and tasks that you currently do via a vastly improved and accessible user interface (see above image).

UniHire: our new recruitment system

UniHire will replace our current HR system (PiMs) for the recruitment of fixed term and continuing employees. UniHire is built on the PageUp recruitment platform which is used by many large organisations around the world, particularly higher education institutions.

UniHire will streamline the recruitment process and introduce a significantly enhanced user-friendly interface for Hiring Managers. UniHire will also introduce a range of improvements for candidates, with the launch of a New Starter Portal to improve the onboarding experience for new hires.

The new system will support our in-house recruitment function, the Talent Acquisition team, to more effectively support Hiring Managers in sourcing, screening, shortlisting and onboarding candidates. These improvements will reduce the burden of administrative recruitment activities for Hiring Managers and assist in finding and attracting the very best talent.

Position Management: defining a structure for the University

Our HR platform (PiMs) will be further enhanced with Position Management, capability that allows information to be captured on positions and reporting structures within the University.

Accessible via the new My Staff Profile page within myUNSW, the new visually rich University Directory will give all staff access to view team structures and reporting information.

Position Management brings a range of recruitment, workforce planning and reporting benefits and efficiencies, while laying the foundation for a range of exciting and powerful enhancements in the future.

To enable these system upgrades to be successfully implemented, a short system outage will be required from midday Thursday 3 May to 7am Monday 7 May. You will not be able to access PiMs, specifically myUNSW, during this time.
