Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the way we work, and UNSW IT has developed plenty of training to lift your AI capability, hosted on a dedicated AI Hub.
The training forms part of the University’s commitment to equipping staff with the knowledge and skills to confidently engage with AI technologies. It provides a structured approach to learning with a framework to ensure that staff at all levels can develop the expertise needed to integrate AI into their daily work, and start to help others around them.
We recommend everyone starts with the AI Fundamentals course. It comes highly recommended and was developed in-house for UNSW as a collaboration between IT, the Business School and Lifelong Learning. You can then work your way through additional training in your own time, as everything on the AI Hub is designed to be self-paced, practically applied and ready to be undertaken at a time that suits you.

- access all training materials
- read the Guide to responsible use of AI at UNSW
- engage in experiential learning through our pilots
- learn from your colleagues by joining the community of practice
- find out how to enrol and come along to a Hackathon or
- problem solve and learn from the experts at an ‘AI SOS.’

AI Solve Opportunities Share (‘AI SOS’)
Come along to AI SOS – a monthly open-forum meeting designed to provide ‘AI Explorers’ with advice and guidance on AI development and implementation. These sessions will have panellists from across UNSW, including representatives from Legal, Privacy, Compliance, Risk, Data, Education, Research Ethics, the Library, HR, Cybersecurity and IT. You can present or just listen along. Sign up for details.
