The Australian Human Rights Institute Associates’ seed funding scheme offers grants of up to $20,000.
The Australian Human Rights Institute has opened its latest seed funding round, providing financial support to UNSW research projects that address and relate to human rights.
As well as grants of $5000–$20,000 available to institute associates across all faculties and schools, this year they've partnered with the Disability Innovation Institute UNSW (DIIU) and the faculties of Engineering, Business and Law & Justice to offer four additional joint seed funding grants.
The institute’s seed funding schemes have provided nearly $250,000 across 21 projects since 2021, including research into air quality data in Pacific countries, the prevention of reincarceration of people with intellectual disability, access to dialysis for Aboriginal communities in remote Australia, transgender rights in Indonesia, and forced labour and slavery in the fishing industry.
