These exercises will help you learn how to respond in an emergency.
As a part of our ongoing drive to improve UNSW’s emergency response capabilities and safety on campus, the Emergency Management team have begun lockdown and evacuation exercises in all buildings.
The exercises are designed to ensure UNSW meets legislative requirements, our volunteer Emergency Control Organisation members receive vital training, and the UNSW community is aware of what to do in the event of an emergency.
If you’re in a building when these exercises are taking place, you must participate and follow the instructions from Emergency Coordinators, Wardens, Security and other people leading the exercise.
Watch the emergency preparedness and response video to find out how to respond, who can assist you and the systems used during an emergency.
The exercises will continue over the coming months in all buildings on UNSW campuses in Sydney.
If you have any questions regarding these exercises, please contact your Chief Warden or emergency@unsw.edu.au.
