UNSW Founders 10x Accelerator is ready to support the next generation of high-impact startups with $4.7 million to invest.

This year, the Founders 10x Accelerator program will run from August to October. Applications are now open for UNSW students, staff, researchers and alumni until 19 May.

According to the 2024 Startup Muster report, the Australian startup community voted the 10x Accelerator most recommended and in the Triple E awards UNSW was named the most entrepreneurial university in the Asia-Pacific

The 10x Accelerator program is dedicated to launching ambitious startups founded by UNSW students, staff or alumni and is designed to supercharge early-stage startups with investment, hands-on coaching, masterclasses, founder peer support and investor exposure.

UNSW is also the only university in the country to offer an accelerator program with three dedicated deep tech streams: Defence, Health, and Climate. These streams are open to founders from anywhere in Australia.

Over the years, 10x has launched many impactful UNSW startups. Some examples include:

  • Forage, a job simulation service that helps bridge the gap between education and career success, has increased employability by 3.3x for more than 5 million students globally.
  • Amelia Bio, a first-of-its-kind female health product that has almost sold out due to high demand.
  • Pearler, an all-in-one finance platform that has so far helped 70,000 Australians invest more than $1.5 billion.
  • HEO, which captures and sells high-quality space images to NASA.
  • Contactile, which has developed groundbreaking technology that gives robots a sense of touch.

UNSW startup partners with High Commission of India

This week, 2024 10x alumnus and founder, Rushi Vyas made headlines when the High Commissioner of India partnered with his startup What’s On!, making it the first Australian startup to do so.

“The 10x Accelerator gave us the structure, community and accountability we needed to really take What’s On! to the next level. The mentorship and support from UNSW Founders helped us move faster and dream bigger. We’re proud to be partnering with the High Commission of India to support international students across Australia,” Rushi said.

Through this new initiative, they’ll support 140,000 international students around the country to make meaningful connections and improve their mental health and wellbeing during their studies.
