Join us for two days of events celebrating the diverse languages we teach and speak in the School of Humanities and Languages.
UNSW’s Languages Festival returns on Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 September with a packed schedule of unique cultural experiences featuring food, music, dance and more. The festival will showcase the endless possibilities of a career in languages.
There will be music and performances on the Library Lawn throughout the festival, as well as treasure hunts and multilingual VR experiences in the Library.

Paella Perfection
Wednesday 25 September, 10am, Library Lawn
Master the art of making authentic and delicious paella.
French Crêpes Crafting
Thursday 26 September, 10am, Library Lawn
Learn how to make French crêpes following an easy and foolproof recipe, while learning some French along the way.
Languages Lounge: Spotlight on careers in languages and linguistics
Thursday 26 September, 5–7pm, Teaching Commons, Dalton Building
Discover the diverse career paths available to those with a background in languages and linguistics. Chat with representatives from various organisations, hear firsthand experiences from alumni and explore opportunities across a range of employment sectors.
Whether you’re interested in translation, interpretation, language education or applying your linguistic skills in unexpected ways, this event has something for everyone.
