“UNSW has broad and deep connections with China, stretching back more than 45 years when we welcomed our first student from Mainland China,” he said.

The significance of the celebration was also emphasised by the Consul-General of the People’s Republic of China, Mr Wang Yu, who visited UNSW for the first time since arriving in Sydney. This annual celebration provided a meaningful opportunity to introduce the Consul-General to UNSW and showcase the close ties we have with the Chinese community.
