Discover the new AI @ UNSW SharePoint site

UNSW now has a central hub for AI resources and support for staff.

We’re excited to announce the launch of the AI @ UNSW SharePoint site, a comprehensive online platform designed to centralise all information, resources and support related to artificial intelligence (AI) at UNSW.

In recent years, the demand for AI information and support at UNSW has grown rapidly. Previously, resources were created on an ad-hoc basis, leading to a fragmented and sometimes confusing landscape.

This new site aims to provide a single source of truth for AI-related content, making it easier for all staff to access the tools and information they need. It also links to other sources of truth across UNSW, ensuring users have the most accurate and up-to-date information.

There’s something for everyone, whether you are looking to Learn, Use or Ask. The AI @ UNSW SharePoint site offers a variety of features designed to support the diverse needs of the UNSW community: 

• Resources and training: Access a wide range of AI resources and training materials tailored to different user groups, including educators, researchers and professional staff through the AI training hub. 
• AI tool directory: Discover and learn about the AI tools approved for use at UNSW, along with guidelines on how to use them responsibly. 
• Support and troubleshooting: Find information on how to safely use AI, and ensure compliance with UNSW's AI policies. 
• Community engagement: Participate in office hour panels, provide feedback and stay informed about the latest AI developments at UNSW through news and events.

Audience-focused user experience  

The development of the AI @ UNSW SharePoint site has been a collaborative effort, with input from various working groups and usability testing to ensure a user-friendly experience. It has been designed with a user segmentation framework in mind, ensuring the needs of various audiences within the University are met. Key user groups include educators, research staff, professional staff and external partners.

Next steps 

The site was officially launched in early October, and ongoing updates and iterations will continue to enhance its functionality. It also complements the new AI@UNSW My IT pages.
