The SDG Showcase marks the start of Global Goals Week and will feature work from across the University that is driving progress toward the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
UNSW Sydney’s first SDG Showcase is an all-day event taking place at the start of Global Goals Week on Monday 23 September in the John Niland Scientia Building on Kensington campus.
The event will highlight the cross-disciplinary work being undertaken to tackle the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It will showcase the collaborative approach UNSW takes to identify and produce real-world solutions that will drive progress and societal impact now and in the future.
“There was an overwhelming response to the EOI process in July and we are delighted with the engagement and support we have had from students and staff, and the breadth and depth of work that will be on show as a result,” said Rita Henderson, Chair of the SDG Steering Committee.
“The SDG Showcase is the first big opportunity for everyone in our UNSW community to explore the great work we are doing to progress the SDGs in an accessible and engaging way.”
More than 50 exhibitors will share posters, demonstrations, simulations and videos. The showcase will be a unique opportunity for our community to speak to the experts behind the work, find out more about it and discover ways to get involved.
There will be more than 20 short talks and presentations throughout the day on the main stage, and workshops and masterclasses will be hosted in neighbouring rooms.
This is a free event and open to everyone within our UNSW community. Please register your interest.
