Over the next few weeks, The Lounge will host its inaugural networking series.
This winter, The Lounge will host a Networking Series for UNSW staff – of four, one-hour sessions from June to September. Staff will have the opportunity to make connections with other colleagues and to exchange professional contact details.
Whether you attend one event or all four, it’s a chance to meet like-minded people and to expand your network.
The sessions will have a structured agenda for 45 minutes, followed by 15 minutes of informal mingling.
Session One: Tuesday 25 June
Networking Poker 9.30 – 10.30am
Engage in three to five minute conversations while rotating through themed stations, with playing cards placed on tables to initiate conversation.
The Lounge will provide complimentary tea, coffee and a biscuit for participants to enjoy.
Session Two: Wednesday 31 July
Networking Bingo 9.30 – 10.30am
Participate in three to five minute conversations where participants match criteria on their bingo card to initiate conversation.
The Lounge will provide complimentary tea, coffee and a biscuit for participants to enjoy.
Session Three: Thursday 22 August
Networking Lounge 3.30 – 4.30pm
Enjoy five minute conversations while seated at designated stations for informal networking. Themed stations include a coffee corner for coffee lovers, or a mocktail/cocktail station for those who like to network over drinks.
The Lounge will provide free coffee, mocktail/cocktail stations.
Session Four: Tuesday 24 September
Career Exploration 3.30 – 4.30pm
Share and listen to others’ career stories and adventures. Explore your strengths, values and motivators. Discover how people got to where they are and what drives them to be purposeful in life and their career.
The Lounge will provide half price drinks (house drinks only).
