Upcoming training dates
Cultural Inclusion@UNSW
UNSW is a vibrant, multicultural campus with students and staff from more than 120 different nationalities who each bring their own experiences, perspectives and practices to our community. These introductory workshops support staff to understand how diverse and unique cultural experiences influence interactions, how they can contribute to building an inclusive culture at UNSW and how they will be supported to do so.
The introductory workshops are on:
- Tuesday 18 June (in person)
- Tuesday 8 October (in person).
Accessibility@UNSW
Build knowledge, skills and tools to ensure accessibility confidence in the workplace and classroom. These workshops detail workplace adjustments at UNSW, provide practical guidance for making materials accessible and promote an intersectional approach to accessibility at the University. The workshops are on:
- Monday 1 July (in person)
- Thursday 3 October (online).
Ally Network Lunch & Learns
Learn about a variety of intersectional LGBTQIA+ topics and connect with students and staff within the UNSW community. Lunch & Learns provide a chance to continue to build knowledge around the experiences of trans and gender diverse people, support systems and trans joy. There are three Lunch & Learns:
- Trans and Gender Diverse Experiences, Wednesday 3 July: Hear from members of the trans and gender diverse community with lived experience in a Listening Circle format. Listening Circles enable personal and nuanced conversations in a safe learning environment. This event will be in-person only at the UNSW Kensington Campus, with a light lunch provided.
- LGBTQIA+ Neurodiverse Experiences, Thursday 26 September (hybrid)
- Rainbow Families, Tuesday 22 October (hybrid).
LGBTQIA+ Allyship@UNSW
We are building a community of students and staff who are committed to being allies to the LGBTQIA+ community at UNSW. These workshops develop capacity to adjust behaviours, address discrimination and leverage support services to confidentially assist staff and students within LGBTQIA+ communities.
Waitlists are open for remaining sessions this year:
- Thursday 27 June (online)
- Wednesday 16 October (in person).
